Vatican: Renewed Constitutions of the Hospitaller Sisters

The Vatican has approved the renewed Constitutions of the Hospitaller Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, marking a significant moment in the congregation’s history.
The new text promotes with renewed strength the mission of the sisters for the future, ensuring that their charism of hospitality continues to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable in contemporary society.
The Constitutions, which guide the spiritual and practical life of the congregation, have been updated to reflect the evolving realities of healthcare, social inclusion, and the care of people with mental illness.
“This renewal is not a departure from our roots,” explained a senior member of the congregation. “It is a deepening of our commitment to the vision of Saint Benedict Menni, adapted for the challenges and opportunities of today’s world.”
The approval follows years of consultation, reflection, and discernment within the congregation and with Church authorities.
